I fell for the medium of newsprint because I love the texture, it’s very smooth and responds to other medias very peculiarly. A lot of the times you might not know or be able to completely control the results of the process when working with it and that element of surprise excites me, for better or worse.

The paper also shows its age, or at least it shows you when its been in the sun, a lot like us! The paper, depending on where it’s kept will change hue over time due to light and local atmospheric conditions, adapting, as if it has a life of its own.
